Course content
Level A
Covers skills needed to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies and choking for people aged 8 and over;
- Adult CPR /AED
- Adult choking
- Barrier device/pocket masks
Level C
Covers skills needed to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies and choking in Adults, Children, and Babies;
- Adult/Child/Baby CPR/AED
- Adult/Child/Baby choking
- Barrier device/pocket masks
- Rescue Breathing
BLS (Basic Life Support) *Note: This is a one-year certifcation as per legislation.
Healthcare providers are generally those who have a duty to respond to an emergency medical incident as a team and often include physicians, nurses, allied healthcare professionals, and first responders such as paramedics and firefighters. These personnel are often the first trained professionals to arrive at the scene of an emergency and are required to learn additional CPR/ AED skills.
